Calling everyone who loves to get creative with their washi tapes!! In looking for new ways to use washi tape on cards, I came across this YouTube video by Craft a Smile. She makes a really cool card which I tried and loved her technique. So, check out the video link below and then hopefully you'll join my swap so we can all have fun using her technique to make a cool card for our partner. In my own card sample above I added a greeting, but I'll leave this optional in case some of you don't have stamps or anything to add. Sometimes the tapes look pretty just on their own. [Tip: You may find that sometimes you use too much pressure when cutting the ends of the tape off. Don't worry, you can always tape the back of the card to keep it intact. You'll eventually get the hang of it.] This card will be for our partners to enjoy, so we will each write a note on the inside to our partner, perhaps telling a little about our day or something about our washi adventures. As an added bonus, we will include 4 washi tape samples (18 inches / 45.72cm) for our partner to play with. As always, please decorate your mailing envelopes with washi tape. Plain envies = boring. Washi taped envelopes = instant happy! I think you'll find that these cards are fun to make. I've made quite a few so far. Lastly, by joining my swap it is telling me that are committed to: 1) having fun creating this card for your partner, 2) sending it out on time, and 3) rating promptly upon receipt. We want it to be a fun swap for everyone. |
