I love Wikipedia!

Inspired by @draco and her Random Wikipedia Article swap-slightly edited-swap, I created this one.

Post a link of your favourite Wikipedia-article here in the comments! When I assign partners, take a look what they posted and rate. :-)

This is Newbie-friendly, but I take the right to ban everyone who seems fishy!

This is rather dark, but since turning 30 I'm obsessed with Unsolved Mysteries, serial-killers and all things True Crime. This lady is one of my favorite serial-killers because it's just an absurd story! Leonarda Cianciulli

For those who are slightly squeamish and don't want to read about a historic, lady serial killer from the 30s/40s I present: [The List of Common Misconceptions!] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Listofcommon_misconceptions)

I really admire Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and I love to learn and read about the british history. So I often browse from her entry to other british royals and historical events. You really can get lost, but in an interesting/positive way. :-)

I came across self mummification and thought it was really interesting. It's crazy! It's called Sokushinbutsu.

There are sects of Buddhism that believe in preserving the body after death. Monks eat nothing but foods that they think will preserve them. Then they go somewhere to starve themselves to death. (Crazy right?)

Here is the link if you wanna know more:

I love this article about the Deaf President Now movement that happened at Gallaudet University in 1988. It was a defining moment in Deaf history in America. I think a lot of hearing people (myself included) have no idea about the richness of Deaf culture, and this gives you a glimpse into that world!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celegorm - Lord Celegorm, or Tyelkormo, is my newest favorite Tolkien character. Love all my elves. What can I say. Ecthelion and Glorfindel are my most favorite. My story - Secret Agent Elve is about them. I write slash fanfiction, and they are lovers in my story. It's what floats my boat.
