Description:

In May/June, I hosted this swap to help plan what to read for the summer. Now that summer is (sob sob!) over, let's see what we completed. :) (Summer to me, as I live in the United States! Sorry to offend those who just experienced winter. If you are in the S Hemisphere, please feel free to share what your WINTER reading list was!)

EDIT June 28 I had some questions about this swap, so I'll edit the swap to address those. I hope that helps!

As for 'when summer starts', I didn't have a specific date in mind, but how about June 1st for "start" and September 1st for "end". If your books are a little before, or a little after those dates, that is ok. The purpose for this swap, and the original one, were more of a challenge. So, please include any books you read from about June 1st to September 1st, even if that is not 'summer' for you. :)

If you listened to audio books over the summer, please feel free to add those to your list! In my 'planning' list, I actually listed books I planned to read in print, and those I hoped to get to in audio form.

You don't have to include a summary of the books. Just a list with the title and author is fine. However, if you want to add your thoughts, you are welcomed to do that. This isn't a book recommendation swap as much of a challenge swap.

If you read (or listen to) a book that is not in English, that is fine! :) Again, this isn't a book recommendation swap, so if your book isn't in English, that's fine. Be sure to list the title and author, and if you wish, you can translate the title into English (if your partner is an English speaker.)

If you didn't join the planning swap in May/June, you can still join this one, as long as you have kept a list of the books you read over the summer.

For this swap, we will recap the books we read over the summer. If you joined the planning swap, include a copy of the list of books you planned to read over the summer, and reflect on how you did. Did you complete your goal? If you didn't join the planning swap, send a list of the titles and authors of the books you read over the summer to your partner.

Now, reflect a bit. Was there one that you read that you really liked? Did you find a new author or series that you just loved? Maybe you found a new genre of book that you are excited about. Just talk about what you read over the summer - using the above questions or topics of your own - to your partner in about a 1 page letter. Lists and letter can be handwritten or typed, and you can write in note cards, on stationery, make a booklet - the choice is yours. :)

If you receive a list of books with title and author from your partner, and a letter about what they read, please rate a 5. Maybe they like a genre you aren't fond of, or haven't tried, but that's ok. You can't rate down for that.

Since this will be lightweight to send, this is an International swap. You will have 1 partner to share your complete book lists with.

I will angel this swap, if you are flaked on, once contact has been attempted and a rating has been given.

Rated swappers with a minimum of 4.98 and no unresolved/commented 1's or 3's are welcome. I will allow new swappers with very well filled out profiles to join.

If I have a question about your profile or ratings, I will contact you. If you do not reply, you will be banned from the swap. Communication is very important! :)

If you have any questions or comments about the swap, please send me a PM. I check PM's every day, but don't always see the comments and may miss your question.

Please note! If you have been in any of the other swaps I've hosted, and did not reply to my PM's, you will be banned from future swaps. Communication please!
