Description:

You will send one partner one ATC which you make using the following steps. Some steps require specific TH material to be used and are in bold text so be sure you have them! (If you need an embossed ATC please send me a message and I'll be happy to share.)

1 Grab one light colored or white ATC blank.

WARNING: If you're new to using resist spray please read the instructions and watch Tim's tutorial to avoid ruining your stuff. I will put some basic instructions but I assume you know the precautions.

2 Choose your favorite TH layering stencil. Place your ATC inside the 3-sided box and lay your stencil on top of it.

3 Lightly spritz the resist spray on top of your stencil until completely covered and then immediately wash stencil or submerge in water.

4 Allow 1-2 minutes for resist spray to dry. You can use heat tool to speed it up. Once dry the finish should have a slight shine and not be sticky at all.

5 Grab 4-5 distress crayons and apply crayon to ATC in any pattern you like.

6 Wet your finger and smudge the crayoned areas individually and mix lightly where colors meet.

7 Grab distress inks or distress oxide inks that are similar in color to the distress crayons that you used in step 5. If the crayoned area is purple then lightly blend a similar purple ink in that area only. If the area is blue then blend only blue ink in that area, etc. Do this step as much or as little as you'd like. The intent is to add layers of color, not to completely cover the crayoned areas so go lightly and easy. Sometimes all it takes is a quick dab or swipe.

8a For those with a TH stamp platform use this step, otherwise use step 8b. Choose one of you favorite TH cling/rubber/acrylic stamps and Stazon or similar ink to stamp image on the ATC. The resist spray has a texture to it so you may need to use the platform to stamp multiple times to get a crisp image. If you're worried your ink will not dry then you can use embossing powder and heat to set.

8b For those without the platform you can use a TH stamped image on a separate piece of paper and either picky cut or tear down to a small size. Be sure your image is not so large that it covers your beautiful background. If you do not have any small stamps then you can use TH remnant rubs.

9 Somewhat lightly drag only the edges of your ATC across a coordinating distress ink or distress oxide ink pad and immediately cover edges in coordinating or clear embossing powder (bonus points for using TH products!) and heat to set.

10 Attach a sturdy backing to your ATC which includes at least the ATC title, your username, and date.

I hope to host more of these but need to know what TH products everyone owns, so please comment on this thread.

If you have any questions, sending a pm is the quickest way to reach me. I do try to check for comments on my swaps but sometimes I am not timely :-/

If there any issues with your partner following steps please inform @choke before rating down. I think it is common sense that there is always a chance that the steps were misinterpreted so some graciousness should be allowed here.

As always I will angel if you are flaked on but only if you have rated your partner a 1.
