THC: 10 step ATC Challenge #12

You will send one partner one ATC which you make using the following steps. Some steps require specific TH (Ranger? :-P) material to be used and are in bold text so be sure you have them!

1 Grab one solid black ATC blank that will stand up to getting wet..

2 Choose one of your favorite stamp(s) that you like to color but has more thick lines than thin.

3 Use clear embossing ink to stamp the image(s) onto the ATC.

4 Immediately cover in black embossing powder and heat to melt the powder. This could of course be done using black soot embossing powder if you have it! Just make sure you fully set the powder and wipe away the release crystals.

~Get a small cup of clean water and a fine detail, a small and a medium sized paintbrush~

5 Choose any Ranger Liquid Pearl color that you want to use to color your image and put a small bit on your non-stick craft mat, in my experience a little goes a LONG way!

6 Dip the small paintbrush in the clean water and work it into the liquid pearl on your mat. You want it watered down so that the embossed image will resist it but thick enough that you can still see the color. I find it best if I mix just the edge of my paint and pull away from the blob so I can get different levels of consistency.

7 Once your liquid pearl paint is ready, paint away! Careful not to cover up your embossed image too much, when needed take a dry cloth or even a q-tip and very lightly blot the image to uncover it.

8 Repeat steps 5-7 with as many colors of Ranger Liquid Pearls as you'd like until your entire ATC is painted

9 Let air dry.

10 Attach a sturdy backing to your ATCs which includes at least the ATC title, your username, and date. Send your ATC to your partner.
