I'm not ready to stop playing with washi tape yet. :) Thus, let's have another round of this fun swap. Using small "snippets" of your different tapes, you are to totally cover the front side of a plain envelope. Covering the back side is optional. This will become the mailing envelope for this swap. You can either leave an area to write the address, or you can use a label over your tape (If you choose the label method, you will want to cover it with clear tape.) You may use any size envelope to start with; the bigger the envelope, the more tapes you'll be able to show off. ;) Any kind or brand of tape may be used, with one exception: NO duct tape. Inside your envelope please include a little hello note with your swap-bot ID, along with 4-5 samples of washi tapes for your partner to play with (basically one standard playing card's worth). To make the length easy, wrap 9 times around the card (one side = one wrap). This will give about 22.5 inches per sample. Note: I found that some of my tape snippets wanted to peel up on the envelope, so I ended up putting some clear tape on some of the ends to keep them in place. Have fun showing off your tapes. We tape lovers have lots of tapes of our own, and most likely, tons of samples we've received from all our tape swapping! :) |
