Description:

the faeries have complained - they want new furniture! what shall you make them? a bed fit for the faery queene? a utilitarian table & chairs? a claw-foot bathtub?

for this swap you'll need to make teeny furniture out of things found in nature. i won't assign a number of pieces to aim for, but i do ask that if you are only going to make one item, make it count!

things that make fabulous furniture: sticks, bark, pinecone bits, cut branches, shells, acorn caps.

the books 'fairy houses' & 'fairy houses & beyond' are both brimming with ideas.

here are some websites to get your creativity going:

last year we made furniture from things found in our yard, & had the most fun! some tips: you can bind with raffia to give your items a more rustic look if you like, but hot glue works fabulously!

if your furniture should not be placed out of doors, please include a note with your package, so your partner doesn't accidentally ruin what you've created.

happy crafting!

sorry for the delay swappers! i've been in a birthday haze, and not quite paying attention to real life. partners have been assigned, so go have fun!

I am having trouble finishing up my fairy goodies to my satisfaction (and figuring out how to ship them safely)! I see that I'm not the only one...I apologize for my tardiness and hope that the 5 of us involved can be lenient with each other about the deadline. I'm not flaking...just want my stuff to be the best it can be :) How are you all going about packaging your things for the mail?
