Penpals can touch our hearts, be lasting life-long friends, or just give us a good reason to check our mailbox. I remember when I was a young child I had a few penpals and I loved receiving mail. This swap is for children 5-9 years old. In this swap, your child will write or draw an introduction letter... tell about their family, pets, school, extracurricular activities, favorite TV shows, books, toys etc. . If your child can only write his or her name and wants to dictate the rest to you that's fine. If he or she isn't comfortable with writing yet and just wants to draw a picture about themselves that's also fine. As usual be sure to check your kid's letters before mailing them. Make sure they don't include identifying information like their school name or home phone number or address. There is no minimum length since these kids are still young. If you want to include something small like a tattoo or a ring or stickers or a shopkin feel free. This not mandatory though. All I ask is that you don't include anything edible because you don't know about dietary restrictions or allergies. Newbies are allowed, but please fill out your profile. Ratings of 4.8 or higher, PLEASE, with no unexplained 1's or 3's. I will check out the ratings of everyone, and I have the right to and will ban you if I feel you don't meet requirements or for some reason won't fulfill the swap. I'm not going to stress too much about the mail by date because we're all busy parents. If you are not going to make the date please let myself and your buddy know you will be a day or two late in mailing. Don't take advantage and mail a week late though. Please rate a 5 as long as you get a letter. If it's a picture instead or handwritten or if the writing is illegible DO NOT RATE a 3. These are young children who are just learning to write. I'm allowing some extra time to mail because of the 4th of July and other start of summer festivities. |
