No Bulk Handmade Shaker Card

This swap was inspired by my BFF who sent me a low bulk shaker tag for Easter.

For this swap you will create one (1) no bulk shaker card for your partner. Sender's choice for the theme, so you can get started.

No bulk means - You CANNOT USE FOAM in any form to create the shaker element. You can not stack your cardstock to create the dimension for the actual shaker. Also manufactured (eg MFT, Tonic, Stampin Up) clear plastic dimensional shaker shapes are not allowed.

Below are some links on how to make no bulk shaker cards for inspiration.

Acetate & Double Sided Tape

Tulle & Double Sided Tape

Vellum & Double Sided Tape

Clear Bags

Fuse Tool

Other ideas to trap your shaker bits: Sew, Strong Liquid Glue, Staple

Other ideas to create your see through part of the shaker: Sheer fabric, page protectors, photo pockets, zip lock bags, recycle packaging.

Also there are tons of videos on how to make a shaker window without dies or an electronic die cutting machine, so really anyone can do this swap.

Since this is a no bulk shaker...it should only cost a stamp or two to mail. Other elements on your card can be dimensional. I was encouraged by another swapper who informed me that she was only doing flat swaps, because she had stamps. With all of the stay at home orders, I wanted to take that into consideration.

Please write the following inside the card

*Swap Title: No Bulk Handmade Shaker Card

*Date Sent

*Your Full Name & (swap-bot name)

*Lastly, describe how you made your shaker as well as the other elements you used to create your card.

No goodie is required, but certainly if you want to include a flat surprise, by all means feel free. But please keep this to 1-2 stamps. We don't want your partner having to make a trip to the post office, because you didn't include enough postage.

Note This is a Type 3 Swap, because it does indeed require more than a little craft component. This isn't a package, but it is handmade, and will require some time.

Thank you for hosting this swap! I too have loads of stamps and not having to worry about "postage due" because of bulk...this will be fun! xx
