Description:

I think it would be terrific to take photos of the things that are interesting in your life with a disposable camera and then send it to your partner. Your partner will have to have the camera developed.

You must include a sealed envelope with an explanation of each picture. The envelope should not be opened by your partner until the photos are developed.

Because of the time that will be put into this swap by each participant I will not allow newbies to join. Every person should have swapped, positively in at least 10 mail swaps with a 4.8 rating. If there are exceptions please e-mail me.

This should be tons of fun. I love the surprise aspect of the swap and I hope you all do too!

If you do a usa swap, I'd love to play. I'm trying to keep int'l swapping to a minimum so I can swap more! oxo

i'm considering signing up, but a 4.0 rating is really low. any particular reason??

krstawrdtravels 02/ 6/2009 #

Oh no, I meant 4.8. Yikes! Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE BEST SWAP EVER! Too bad I'm a newbie. Once I'm no longer a newbie can I use this idea?

krstawrdtravels 02/11/2009 #

Absolutely, copy as needed :D

Hi everyone

If anybody is interested, I have a friend who is doing a project for her art degree based on six-degrees of separation. She is looking for international individuals (non-UK) with whom she has had no previous contact with, to post a disposable camera to. The volunteers are to shoot the film, post it back to her, and she will publish the results online.

If you're interested then please email her at tizzz-htid@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks! Alice

This project was a blast!!!! The hardest part was keeping track of the notes on what photos I shot. I now know I would keep an 3x5 card wrapped around my disposable camera with a rubber band. That would be much easier than digging through all my receipts and wrappers in my purse looking for my notes!!! April
