Who has lots of scraps? Paper, ephemera, material, ribbons, whatever there always seems to be a lot of 'bits' leftover. This is a swap about celebrating scraps. I've been trying to find ways to use them up, especially paper scraps and there are a lot more than I ever thought there were, but I'm still quite new to crafting so I'm sure there must be a lot more I haven't discovered yet. The only rule is that whatever you make must not have been cut/printed on/ created with a whole piece of something. No using the 6x6 or 8x8 pieces of paper you've put aside, no cutting a small piece of ribbon or lace to finish it off from a full roll, no taking a sticker from a whole, previously unused, sticker sheet. Anything that you've used a bit of before and have some leftover is up for grabs and can be used. What will you make? Senders choice but have a look at your partner's profile and see what they like, and what they might use, after all, that's just a nice thing to do. 😀 As it's only 1 partner each let's make it count. minimum of 100gms per envelope but more if you want. Go to town, use the scraps on the envelope art as well. Make it a really happy mail. I've given a couple of weeks from sign up to sending to give everyone a chance to make things and get a really nice swap together. Rate a 5 as long as you get 100gms of creative goodies. 5 and a ❤️ if it really made you smile. Here are a few ideas I found on the web and a few suggestions but don't be limited this swap is all about sharing ideas to celebrate the scraps. Maybe you could include links to tutorials and how to makes in the note/letter you include in the swap? Tags cut from scraps and decorated with other scraps you have ATC's Paper dies cut from scraps of card and paper you have Bookmarks made and/or decorated from paper, material, sticker scraps Shapes punched with decorative punches or a cutting machine such as a Cricut, from scraps of card and paper you have. 20 uses for paper scraps (I also borrowed the swap image from this page - hope they don't mind 😀 |
