I've been eyeing a new (to me) form of painting, and I actually sent a first attempt to my partner for the last swap. It's so.much.fun. This paint pour looks interesting, and easy enough for a beginner to do. I'm giving lots of time for the sign-up; you might want to explore other types of pour painting videos before committing (you don't have to do the "merge effect"), and then once your interest is piqued, you might have to go get some cheap supplies. And, I mean cheap. Use a thin $ store canvas - about 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 inches, at the most. I'll be using empty pill (or old film) containers for the paint, which is just $ store acrylic paint. Sign the front, if you can - the paint can be thick. But, definitely, put your info on the back. Senders choice on what acrylic pour method you use. Please don't send something you wouldn't want to put up on your own wall. And, start early - these can take a couple of days to dry. International friends - please try this out and if there is interest, I'll host a future one for everyone. I'm just a beginner right now, and have no idea what the weight or postage will be. The image is from somebody I just found - her tutorial might be one you should watch, too. Seems to have some good hints. If you are on Instagram, post a pic with the hashtag #cpgswap! |
