Hello, lovelies! How about a fun and creative project? For this swap you will create a diorama made from an empty tuna or sardine can. The art piece (and this is definitely ART) does not have to include a mermaid but of course mermaids are always welcome. Just be sure the overall feel of the diorama is nautical. You know, I have heard rumours that there are mer-creatures who inhabit lakes and rivers...even streams! My granddaughter has a bunch of mermaids who live in the bathtub, so let your imagination and creativity run wild. You can use any and all resources at your disposal; paper, paint, clay, charms, glass, plastic, shells...need I go on? Make something for your partner that they will want to display. You do not have to add a hanger if the diorama is meant to sit on a shelf or table, but if it's meant to hang, then please do add a ribbon, wire or other hanger. One partner, one diorama, include all the important info with your project and wrap it securely. Most importantly, have fun! xo

If you need inspiration, a quick google search of "tuna and sardine can diorama" should be helpful. I found some great ideas on Etsy and of course Pinterest is always a good source.

Judaline, I'm going to ask that we stick with a tuna or sardine can for this one only because it adds to the overall theme of mermaid/water/ocean/river etc. If you can't find a sardine or tuna can then let me know and I'll send you one. My husband loves sardines and I have a stash of empty cans. xo

Oh and by the way, after the partners are assigned, you can always message your partner and if they don't mind an altoid tin then that would be between the two of you.

For anyone who might be on the fence about joining this swap, I will always angel any swap that I host. I don't anticipate that I will need to, especially in this group, but things do come up sometimes, so I personally feel that angeling is just a part of hosting.

I have a miniature book mold that is like a keepsake box. It’s around the size of a sardine can. Could I use this? The box itself would be entirely sea/ mermaid themed

Stargazer, after partners are assigned, check with your partner. She probably won't mind but the directions do call for sardine or tuna cans, so it's best to check.
