Hi swappers! Isabellasnow is away this month so she has asked me -Quiltbutterfly - to run this for her for this month. Did you know that each of the 12 months is associated with a specific bird? She found the list on Audubon and thought we'd create a tag with the bird-of-the-month--1 for each month. So . . . according to Audubon, the bird for July is the Eagle. For July, we'll create a size #6 tag (2-5/8"x5.25") featuring an Eagle. There are many types of eagles. We have quite a few here in Australia as well. The one in the picture is an Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle. So does not have to be only American Eagles. Please choose any species of eagle you like for your tag. Please begin with a sturdy base, crop the upper edges to create a tag shape, punch a hole at the top and add string or something (ribbon/jute/twine/charm) through the hole. For your info, here are the months and associated birds: January: Owl February: Parrot March: Robin April: Canary May: Nightingale June: Dove July: Eagle August: Kingfisher September: Hawk October: Swan November: Rooster December: Raven Hope you'll join me in a year of bird tag swaps in 2021 |
