This swap will be for a “Postal Notebook” we can use for our art.

The Moleskine brand of these notebooks used to be sold in local bookstores but appear to be difficult to find nowadays.

They’re so practical to use for round-robin type swaps because of the convenient way they fold up into a ready-to-send envelope!

I can imagine one of these working great for those who enjoy slams as well.

I have one of the Moleskine’s and the outside appears to be of card-stock weight, with inner pages resembling a nice printer paper. However, these can be made of anything depending upon your desired use!

For this swap, we’ll make them with art journalling in mind!

  • Use the free template to create one notebook with a durable outermost material
  • Include one (1) signature of at least four (4) sheets of paper, for a total of at least eight (8) inner pages
  • Inner pages will be able to handle wet or dry art mediums
  • Remember to include a note inside with your name and the swap title

Thank you, Rose! I’ve looked up the following definition for a book signature and corrected the swap accordingly.

“In bookbinding, a section, gathering, or signature is a group of sheets folded in half, to be worked into the binding as a unit.‘
