Everyone needs more ░ Good Vibes ░ right now Round #2! ♪ ♫ 1 person is your partner, 1 artwork is mailed. ♪ ♫ Please try to make your gifted artwork in this swap profile related. It helps to have an updated profile with ideas and options. The drawing detail decorating this swap went to France for a big LoTR fan! Please mail the drawing in an evelope with some kind of protective layer, like a folded piece of cardstock or cut pieces of cereal box - something to protect the drawing from getting moshed in the mail sorting machines is helpful. I like to have my buffer layer a little bigger than the artwork if possible to help protect the corners from getting chowed. Choose any one of these standard sizes for the artwork you are making: 4 x 4 inches 4 x 6 inches 5 x 7 inches List of YES: • Artist papers [no copier paper or notebook paper please] • Pencils / graphite • Outline drawing or rendered, sender's choice • Colored Pencils • All pens, micron pens, quill & India ink, mechanical pens • Can be Black & White, partial color, full color • Cartoons • Sketches List of NO: • Charcoal or pastels [too fragile to mail well] • Sharpie markers [yuck] • Oilstick or cray pas oilstick [mails poorly] • Wax or crayons [can melt] • Zentangles: aim is for representational work even if stylized ○ This is my first time trying this idea. Please ask if you have any questions! My hope is we have fun exercising our drawing skills and send along something nice to be enjoyed. ○ ► There is a nice, long 3 week to send time frame to allow time for inspiration & execution. It seems more turn around time is looking more enjoyable, less pressure, for traders on a busy schedule. ◄ ▌ Please be kind and rate when your trade arrives so your parter knows their carefully crafted work was not eaten by the postal system. This makes me feel a lot better since I put hours into each item I make for a swap. I scan them before they go out but that is no solace if it is lost or destroyed. Any item not recieved will need to be resent. Please be patient as the postal system has been struggling in some areas - in my case, Chicago mail has been slower than snails since 2020. ▌ |
