Hello swappers . . . For this swap, you'll be writing a 1-page letter to your partner on any subject matter you choose. The fun part is that we'll be folding the letter to send through the mail without using an envelope--a la Jane Austen. During the Regency Period, envelopes were not used; instead letters were folded into an envelope shape and sealed with a wax seal, to keep prying eyes from reading the contents. So . . . write your letter on an 8.5"x11" paper; using one of the styles in THIS tutorial, fold up your letter. If you have the supplies, create a wax seal to close; if not, simply use a sticker or sticker seal. Let's learn to send the Regency way! |
