how big or small should the scraps be?

A standard envelope can hold five pieces of paper without exceeding the $.42 cent US postage stamp. If you add in the paper it will need to weighed. [stamped images plus patterned papers, etc.]

Just thought it was good to know - as the post office where I live LOVES to send stuff back for obiquous, random postage. :)

any size usable scraps. Any size envelope. #10 standard business size (longer than letter) is nice, but if you have A-2 which holds 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 that is fine too. Sometimes I mail my scraps in a Christmas card envelope that I buy when they go on sale for 75% off after Christmas. Thanks for the info Skippymom. I always take mine to the post office as I get carried away and send more than the 42c because I have a lot to share.

I'm new on this site (no worries) I'm NOT new to swapping. Have been mail artist for over 25 years (yes, before internet forums) :). I have the basics down, envelop/scraps/postage...my silly question is...when do we get the snail mail addy to send it? I've nearly got my envelop ready and would like to send it out in post tomorrow. BTW, this is my first swap, here on this site. I just joined. However, again, I'm not new to the swapping world :) Cheers~
