Let's follow along with Cathy in THIS TUTORIAL to create a Tri-Fold Envelope Journal, using 3 envelopes.

IF you choose to use plain white envelopes, please treat the white side in some way--inking, stenciling, collage work, etc. You may also create 3 envelopes using some type of double-sided paper, thereby eliminating the need for the envelope inserts.

Once your base has been created, it's your design! Add pockets, tuck spots, belly bands, or keep it fairly simple. DO insert ephemera or stationery into the pockets, or a little of both.
