We will be doing a Bible study on the importance of support through prayer. Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy were wanting prayer as they minister. This study is based on 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5. Pray before doing this study. Ask God to help you to understand and apply these scriptures.

v. 1 What did they request prayer for concerning the word of the Lord?

How is the word described in 1 Corinthians 1:18? How is it described in Hebrews 4:12?

v. 2 Who did they want to be delivered from? Why do some people just want to argue than to come to know the truth?

v. 3 Who will the Lord guard us from? What does Psalm 91:11 say?

v. 4 What was their confidence in? Would you consider this church to be a faithful one?

v. 5 How would their hearts be directed into? Romans 8: 38-39 talks about the love of God. What things cannot separate us from this love?
