I'm resurrecting a swap from a few years ago run by @NatalieW I'd love to see these recipes keep moving!

This will be a traveling swap series, so you will need to join subsequent rounds as we go. It is vital that everyone do their part for this to work properly, so if you join, please plan on committing to subsequent rounds or mailing the book back to its original owner.

Details

If this is your first time in traveling recipe book swap you will need:

• A 4x6" mini photo album. (A soft cover, with stitched binding only is best to help keep mailing costs down. These can be found in the Dollar Store, Target, Walmart, Amazon etc.)

• 4 x 6 recipe cards. (Please use real recipe cards or printed cards that fit into the 4x6 inch holder.)

You may decorate the cover however you wish but on the inside of one of the covers please include:

• The swap name.

• Your username on Swapbot.

• Your full mailing address so the book can be returned to you.

Once your partner is assigned mail it to them with a confirmation tracking number. You may wish to send your partner that tracking number so they know when to expect the small package. The coordinator reserves the right to ask for this number.

If this is not your first time in the swap:

• Once you receive the book from your partner, you will add your recipes and then wait until the next round to mail it off to your next assigned partner.

• If the book is FULL, please mail it back to the person who owns/started the book. The owner's address should be on the inside of one of the covers.

This Round: Two "Late Summer" Recipes

For this round, please include two recipe cards in the book for two different recipes that remind you of "Late Summer." These recipes could feature what you're harvesting in your garden right now, or what you love to eat at a Labor Day picnic. The theme is to be interpreted by the sender!

Each round in the series will call for a different type of recipe:

1. Round #1 = two recipes that reminds you of "Late Summer" (August 2025).
2. Round #2 = a Main Dish recipe and a Cookie recipe (September 2025).
3. Round #3 = two recipes utilizing Candy (October 2025).
4. Round #4 = a Soup recipe and a Cake recipe (November 2025).
5. Round #5 = a Bread recipe and a Holiday Cookie recipe (December 2025).

(Note: Technically, the last swap hosted by Natalie was numbered "Round #5." I'm restarting the numbering to keep it clear.)

If room allows, you might want to include your username and/or the date on your recipe cards. Please remember that you are creating a book for the original owner, not just your partner in the swap. (So you may want to duplicate the recipe card if you're picking something specific for your partner!) Part of the fun is seeing all of the different recipes, with different tastes, in different handwriting styles, so this is senders' choice. Please rate your partner a 5 if they have met the requirements of the swap regardless if you like the recipes or not.

When the series runs its course, some people may remove the cards from the book to store in their other card holders, so please make sure any decorations on the recipe cards don't interfere with the cards' removal or storage. Please keep in mind that these books will be mailed many times and it is courteous to keep them in the best shape possible, and consider this when packaging for mailing. (Think padded envelope!)
