What's going on?

Many of you have probably noticed that since at least June 2025, we've been getting slow loads, then half-missing pages or broken refreshes... then in July, Bad Gateway errors, but only now and then. This week, I spend an hour on here, and might reload a page 6 or 7 times. I dread having to hit the Back button because it might not load. I will post a review and... it won't load, or I get a Bad Gateway error, and the review never posts. Or something posts x3.

Usually I get 503 BG errors, which means the SB servers cannot handle the traffic and/or physical equipment is outdated or offline. Bots cause a LOT of ghost traffic. Plus, yeah, the servers probably ARE really outdated.

Unless someone is given control of admin and knows modern internet security, I'm sorry, y'all, this is not going away.

I've been on SB a very long time. The site is breaking down to where if it's becoming stressful for me to reply to people, assign swaps, etc. ... and there's no fixes to equipment in sight... I'm signing off. My profile will stay up. The links to the SB blog will remain, which contains lots of useful info like SB etiquette, handling missing mail, what ratings mean, etc. The tumblr community link will remain. I will no longer be hosting swaps on SB. <3

So I'll be hosting some "goodbye" swaps before I go. I hope you can sign up.
