Description: | |
This swap will run from A-Z, one block per month starting in January. This month's block will be the letter I... I is for igloo, indian, inchworm, insect, etc. You will NOT make a quilt block of the actually letter. The size of your blocks will be 8.5 inches squared. I am making them a little smaller so that if you do each month's letter block, you can fit all of your letters into a quilt at the end. Use good quality cotton fabrics unless your partner specifically requests something else. These blocks can be paper pieced, applique, nontraditional, unusual even, but they must be from fabrics and able to be used/washed as a quilt. Please look at our partners' profiles to see color/pattern dislikes/likes. I will continue with all 26 blocks, one block per month. Newbies are welcomed but only with a FULL PROFILE! No flakers here! I will ban anyone who I think will flake. Questions? Please send a PM, I don't often check the COMMENTS section beneath the swap page. Send only one extra for hearts Special Note: You are not using a patterned fabric, but instead making a quilt block pattern (Or using one from a book or the internet). For example, for the letter F, you wouldn't use a patterned fabric of frogs, but actually make the frog from fabric for your block. The idea here is to make an entire quilt for each letter of the alphabet. Therefore it should be evident which letter pertains to each block. Some members have been receiving blocks that do not follow the directions, and it can be disappointing. Let's make sure we read the directions before creating. Thanks! |
