Description:

The clocks Spring forward this weekend; the days are longer. Hopefully, we’ll see some sunshine and blue skies, maybe the occasional April shower, but it feels like the world is slowly waking up again.

This swap is a gentle excuse to notice all of that. You’ll be working through a photo scavenger hunt, capturing small, everyday moments as the month unfolds, nothing grand, nothing staged, just the kind of things you might otherwise walk past.

✉️ What you’ll do

Use the provided April Scavenger Hunt list

Take one photo per prompt (no pressure for perfection, phone photos are absolutely fine)

You don’t have to take all thirty, but big bonus points if you do 😀 aim for a minimum of 5, 10 would be amazing, no pressure, whatever makes. You happy

Send the same email with your photos to each of your swap partners.

I'd love to see them all as well if you're happy to include me in your swap. My email is cathyswaps@gmail.com

📧 Email your photos to your swap partners. Please use the BCC function when sending; if you’re not sure how to do that, drop me a message.

It would be lovely to have a short note about where it was, why you liked it, that sort of thing, but that’s up to you, it’s not essential. Just let your partners know which photo it’s for.

All photos must be taken in April, camera, phone, iPad, even film if that’s your thing; how you take them is up to you.

I’ll close the swap and allocate partners on the 6th of April, but you can start taking photos from the 1st if you see anything on the list. Let’s email the photos at the beginning of May, so we have a whole month to capture them.

💌 A few gentle notes

This is about noticing, not perfection

Photos can be simple, slightly wonky, or beautifully ordinary Think of this as a month of: wandering a bit slower, looking a bit closer and finding small, lovely things in ordinary places to share with your swap partners

(I've made a pretty printable version of the list, if you'd like it, just click below to download it)
