Zine Bag #1

Dear zine lovers, do you have a lot of zines at home that you would like to spread? Let's send them around the world in bags. Just like washi tape bags, ATC bags or other bags, you will fill an existing bag with zines or create a new bag.

HOW TO... start a new bag:

(1) Take an envelope, paper/plastic bag or fold a piece of paper that will fit as many zines as your bag instructions will eventually fill into this bag. Example: If you want five people to take two zines and add three zines to your starting four, the last letter could include nine zines. So make sure, your bag is big enough. Then write your address on the zine bag so the last signer can return it to you. If there is any chance you might move, add your e-mail address or swap-bot ID, so the last signer can check your address with you.

(2) Write instructions on your zine bag for each signer to follow - for example "Take out twice as many zines as you take" or "Take two zines and add three".

(3) Also include a place for everyone to sign their name and choose how many rounds there should be. Often people choose four to five rounds. The last signer will send it home to you.

(4) Fill the bag with at least four zines, no matter if they are made by you or by others.

(5) Mail the zine bag inside another envelope to your partner.

If you decorate the bag, please keep it as flat as possible as the bag will be rather bulky at the end anyway.

HOW TO... participate with an established bag:

(1) If you've already taken part in previous rounds or have an established zine bag, add zines according to the envelope's rules, sign with your swap-bot ID and pass it on to your assigned partner.

(2) If your partner has already signed the bag in a previous round, create a new bag as described above and keep the established bag for a future round.

HOW TO... send a bag home:

If you are the last one to add to and sign the bag you already have, send it home to whom it belongs and start a new bag for this round that you send to your assigned partner. Rules for new bags see above.

Rate your partner a 5, if you receive a zine bag, no matter if you like the included zines or not.

There's no rating filter, but you can't have unresolved 1's or 3's. Newbies must have a well filled out profile and at least three 5-rated swaps.
