Description:

Please make one ATC or one PostCard for your one partner. The ATC or Postcard must be made using something recycled. It could be as simple as using a recycled materials backing, like a cereal box or recycled paper/note card/book pages, the inside of an envelope, or fabric, or beads, etc. So many ways to recycle when making Mail Art.

October's theme: Reuse something from a received swap mail envelope or swap to create your new mailart.

Each month is themed. Please incorporate the theme into your ATC or Postcard, in some way. Maybe you want to recreate a famous artwork, or make a portrait of an artist, or make something in the style of, or cut up a poster or card from a famous artist and recreate something else. Whatever you choose..enjoy the process.

An ATC is sized 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Postcards are minimum 4 x 6 inches. Please sign and date the back, with your artist info. The purpose of this challenge is to make interesting artistic ATCs and/or postcards, while recycling, not to just glue the items of the month on a card.....for example if the theme is flowers...do not cut out from a magazine 1, or even 20 flowers, and sloppily glue-stick them to a backing and call it an ATC or postcard. These are miniature works of art. Have fun creating them.

January: UpCycle a used greeting card in to a new ATC or Postcard.....Whatever this means to you. You could cut and piece a bunch of cards to form a new postcard, or paint over the card and make your own art, or add to an existing card with paint or collage or any other art medium, or make die cuts out of cards and use them, etc.
