Farmer's Market Mini Scavenger Hunt Everyone has fond memories of scavenger hunts as a kid, don't they? I never won, but I always thought that half of the fun was getting there and finding the things on your list. This swap is just like a scavenger hunt - but for items from your local farmers market! After joining the swap, please list 5 food-related words (that you LIKE) in the comments section below. Please be considerate to your partner: some farmer's markets don't have a huge selections. Please try to choose words that can describe things easily found in many markets. An example would be: your favorite Your partner will then select 1 of those words and send you an item that relates to that word bought from a Farmer's Market. You should be spending between $5 USD minimum (before shipping) on this swap. Please check your partners profile to see what their likes, dislikes and possible allergies are before heading out for the market. This should be a very personalized swap and yummy too! Please also include a note explaining what you're sending to your partner. If there are any directions in a language other than English, please translate. Please ensure that food items are not past their expiration or best by dates, and won't spoil in shipping. If for some reason you are having a difficult time finding something for your partner due to what is available at your market, you should pm your partner and ask them to post 3 more words that can be worked with. Please make every effort to send a nice swap. Sending out-of-date, fragile, or otherwise undesirable items is not in the spirit of the swap. Please only send unopened items and in the original packaging. Let's be thoughtful and make the swap special for your partner! If you are sending baked goods, please consider sending them priority - to ensure that your partner can enjoy some wonderful, fresh bakery. There are flat rate priority boxes that ship rather economically for the turn around that you get. (I've sent several things in flat rate priority boxes and it was cheaper to do it that way than sending in my box first class.) Please consider putting your items in a zip-top baggie inside of your package or box to avoid a horrible mess if the product leaks or had an accident. Please also be considerate of your outer shipping materials - jars of jelly should be heavily bubble wrapped in a sturdy box and not a bubble envelope. Please rate your swap partner promptly for the package you have received. Please make every effort to send your swap on time - if for some reason you are not able to send your package by the send by date - please communicate with your partner. We all know how emergencies come up. We are an understanding group, but communication is key! We rely on being able to have a fun and safe swap environment here - let's keep it that way! :-) Please feel free to pm me at any time - I would love to help you with any problems or issues you are having with the swap. :-) Happy Farmers Market Hunting! |
