Basics:
- Send one fantasy-themed short story written by you to one partner. (Short story = more than a paragraph or two.)
- This can be silly or it can be serious. Just something written during breaks at work or school, before bed to relax, in the morning to get you going, while you're waiting for your kids in the parking lot, etc. or you can set time aside specifically for this.
- You can go as far as binding your story into a book (whether it's just stapled or something more advanced) or as simple as a sheet of paper with your story written on it.
- Pictures, art, etc. are not required, but are a nice element to add. (Don't expect this from your partner.)
- Check your spelling and grammar before sending, and correct it. You have home dictionaries, dictionary.com, Google, the library, teachers, etc. It doesn't need to be perfect, but try to make it decent (no "ur" for your/you're, no "to much" for too much, use paragraphs, etc.). (Just write your story and worry about this later when you reread it if it's not something you're normally good at.)
- Nothing offensive, such as racism, sexism, etc. These elements can be in your story, but your story cannot be advocating them.
- International swap.
- Don't expect something brilliant. Be open and realise it may just be silly hogwash about a heroic mouse with a twitchy leg and bad bladder control. This is just for fun.
Rules of joining:
- No flaking, obviously.
- 4.5 rating or higher (if not, message me if there is a reason).
- Newbies can join with filled-out profile (no one-liners).
- You must rate your partner, and you must do it honestly.
