Part Two EDIT: Date of sign-up has now been brought forward. NOTE: this is a two-part swap. If you join this one, you must also sign up to the other one. Click here You received a fantastic doodle from your partner in the previous swap. Now you will hand embroider the doodle. Choose whichever ground fabric, thread and stitches you want. You may embellish it if you like, but try to keep the focus on the embroidery to show off your wonderful stitching skillz! I suggest that you make a copy of the doodle if you risk damaging the original in whatever transfer method you are using. The finished size should be 6x4 inches Γ’β¬β standard postcard size. Make sure it is finished neatly and sturdily with no thread ends visible on the back. You could back it with felt or other fabric and edge it with satin/ blanket stitch. Then whack it into an envelope and send it to your partner. Even though itΓ’β¬β’s a postcard, it will be safer to send in an envelope. You may need to attach a customs declaration if you are sending overseas (we do in Australia for any non printed material). Please let me know if anything is unclear. Above all, have fun and let your creativity loose! **Edited the send-by date to give a little extra time to allow for international mail delays. |
