Here's the idea... we can all get stuck in a rut by limiting our supplies, and using the same things again and again. Purchase (or make) one "mini stocking"... anything you like, just more than the traditional dollar store thin red felt thing, something cute. [Michael's has some cute ones for $3, and other places do, or you can make one yourself.] These should not be the tiny ones that only fit a few Hershey kisses, but the ones that are around 6-8 inches long. This is not a nit-picky thing... you don't need to measure it, but if it is three inches long that's the wrong size. :) -- mine is about as tall as my hand, wrist to fingertip-- Stuff it full of small ATC supplies; things you have extras of, cards, special bits of interesting paper, charms, ribbon, coins, postage, rubber stamps, handmade envelopes, hole punchers... even pens, or paintbrushes or modpodge... whatever it is YOU like using on your cards. You can buy things, or use this opportunity to deplete your ever growing stash, or both. Also include some small surprise. This can be handmade or purchased. (it could be a package of candy, a bookmark, an ATC, tea, earrings, a flashlight, recipe cards... whatever you think your partner will like.) This should not be a costly swap, unless you want it to be! So, one partner: one 6-8 inch stocking, stuffed with miscellaneous ATC supplies, and a surprise or two. This should fit in a small to medium padded envelope for shipping. 5.0 is preferable for joining. I will be very strict. If you have ones or threes in the past twenty swaps, or any that are unresolved, please PM me before signing up, to avoid being banned. There will be NO flaking!! |
