It can be a free pattern found on the internet, or you can buy a pattern for your partner. SO YOU SHOULD NOT KNIT THE SOCKS BEFORE SENDING, BUT SEND YARN AND PATTERN SO YOU PARTNER CAN KNIT THEM.
