Description:

I've concluded that I'm more interested in modern commemorative stamps than any others, and to that end this swap is for what's in current circulation.

In this swap you'll go to the post office (or raid your stash at home) for at least 10 stamps. No duplicates, nothing canceled/used. Please head for commemoratives over the .01, .03 and Forever sort. We're looking for lots of color and plenty of variety. Aim to wow your partner. Plan to spend at least $4.40 (or equivalent value in your country... i.e. 10 first class stamps.) And I'm not saying you can't include stamps of less than first class value, you just can't send nothing but. (I'm sure you wouldn't want to spend $4.40 and get less than a dollar's worth of stamps in return.) If that's unclear, PM me.

Swappers in good standing (4.8 and above) welcome. And, of course, please do use stamps on your envelope...'cause more is better! ^__^

Can people try to send a full booklet of ten stamps if possible. Not a mixture of ripped up booklets with 1 or 2 self adhesive stamps on them. I am a stamp collector who likes whole booklets, also normal gum stamps are fine to send as singles. Thanks

Can you explain what constitutes a commemorative stamp?

Also, as per the comment above - if we sent a full booklet of ten stamps, wouldn't that be counter to the requested "no duplicates" stipulation above?

The booklets here often contain 10 different stamps, not of the same picture.

Ah... Kiwi, that is not the case in the USA.

It's true. 'Booklets' in America tend to be one style, as do most sheets, but there are sheets of ten different, like the recent Abstract Artist Stamps or Kelp Forest.

@GreenVelvet In my mind, a commemorative is anything NOT a flag, Purple Heart or Forever... it's not something you can get out of the stamp machine. (There's a name for that size stamp and of course I can't remember it.) The new Love stamp would count, as it changes. Anything over/odd sized.

Here, try this: http://tinyurl.com/nwzm66 ^__^ (Wow. Supreme court justices...talk about a snooze!!! lol)

Not sure if you can see all of my message as swap-bot's been cutting me off a lot, but try this URL if you need help.

Oh, and another thought...if you have unused stamps from another country, feel free to include them! Just because you're in England doesn't mean you can't include unused, first class Japanese stamps if you have 'em.
