Hi, I assume this swap is for genuine Sanrio licenced Hello Kitty products not and any cheap imatation items.

thegreatdawn 07/ 9/2010 #

Yes, that's correct.

Chelle 07/12/2010 #

Ok so a fake / cheap imitation = 3 rating...

thegreatdawn 07/13/2010 #

Not necessarily, no. If one or two items is not real Sanrio licensed, but there has been genuine effort put into the package then that certainly does not deserve a 3.

thegreatdawn 07/14/2010 #

Also, crafts are not sanrio licensed, I should've stated that.

adoluxia 07/16/2010 #

oh i'm confused. first you say this swap is for sanrio licensed HK only(no cheap stuff). then you say it's OK to send cheap stuff only if one or two items are not real sanrio. personally i think those items should count as extras. i wouldn't want to send my partner 5 nice items and get 3 nice ones + 2 fake ones in return.

thegreatdawn 07/18/2010 #

Some items are not labeled Sanrio, but still can be true Hello Kitty products. Tags can be ripped off, etc. How can you tell the difference is what I was attempting to get at. You can send nice items and still be unsure if they are "fake". If they are cheaply made then that generates a problem.

Chelle 07/18/2010 #

Another quick question - If I get a package that's worth approximately $5 is that still a 5 rating?

Chelle 07/18/2010 #

PS - Hello Kitty fans are always able to tell the difference between real and fake. Tags only get ripped off if its a plushie and if that's the case, you shouldn't be sending that item in the first place because it's damaged.

thegreatdawn 07/18/2010 #

I'm talking about pricing tags.

I believe I wrote "Up to $20" so if the items generate a total of 5 and you like them (they came on time, etc) then it should receive a 5.

Chelle 07/18/2010 #

Ok. So based on that, a $5 package with 5 items = 5 (not asking about hearts, just 5).

Another question, please can you confirm that if items are sent without the tag it is OK? Even if they are not labeled Sanrio but they are genuine licensed Sanrio? Or are handmade items with a Hello Kitty motif or face acceptable?

thegreatdawn 07/18/2010 #

A simple 5 will suffice. Feel free to leave comments under that rating.

Handmade items are acceptable since a person cannot create a Sanrio licensed product.

lissaclaire 07/18/2010 #

i dunno... i'm a "true" hello kitty fan, and personally, even if the item is fake, i usually still find it adorable. it can be really hard to decipher if it's real or not based on the mere fact that it's usually in a different language, and anyone can write "sanrio." on a label.

i've never seen such finickiness in swapping before. eek! :(
