Here is an international version of the U.S.-only Homemade Bookmarks Swap being hosted by Peanutbutterrhino. Of course, our American friends are also more than welcome to join! Everyone must make, and send ONE homemade bookmark. Be Creative: use cloth, felt, cardstock, leather, laminated paper, etc. Just please be sure to make it thick enough to be sturdy, but not so thick as to destroy the spine of the book it lives in. Make it any shape you like, be it a classic book mark, a book thong, a cute one attached to an oversized paperclip, something with magnets, a half-length one with an envelope, or whatever else you can imagine! Be Thoughtful: use your own style, but check your partner’s profile for likes/dislikes. Be Considerate: this is not supposed to be a high-stress swap, but please send something you’re proud of. A strip of paper with a sticker in it is not really a nice handcrafted bookmark. Have Fun! Feel free to look at other handmade bookmarks for inspiration. The image for this swap, for example, was taken from http://www.juliabettencourt.com/blog/?p=4497. The link also provides a tutorial. ïŠ I have a mini army of angels in the wings, so if there are any problems sending on time, please message me. Just don’t flake-- it’s not nice. Please rate a 5 if you receive one Homemade Bookmark. Feel free to give Hearts if you feel your partner went above and beyond! Have Fun!! |
