Know someone who could use a pick-me-up? My mother-in-law recently moved into an assisted living facility. While she has made new friends, she checks her mailbox everyday, hoping to find a cheery greeting. For this swap - you will be assigned 2 partners and will have to send 2 greeting/'thinking of you cards'. Once the partners have been assigned - each of your partners will EMAIL YOU the snail mail address of someone they think could use a card to brighten their day and you will send a card to their loved one(s). You could email the same address to both partners or send a different one to each one. You can even have the cards sent to you if you are in need of cheering up! To send your assigned partners a message - go to the "Rate your partners and coordinator" section and click on their Swap-Bot name, then Send Message. They will send a card to that person and then message you back when they have sent it. Please, please, please - No Flakers! The idea here is to do something nice for someone who needs it and since the recipients are probably not Swap-botters it will be hard to track down if people have gotten cards or not. I will angel if needed - but again - it may be hard to follow up. As for rating - again, it will not be practical to rate when the cards have been received - so when your partners message you that they have SENT the card to your loved one, go back to the "Rate your partners and coordinator" page and rate them. If this doesn't make sense - leave me a message below and I will try to explain it again a different way. This is a repeat of a swap we did in Aug/Sept. I know my mother-in-law was happily surprised with her cards - so I thought I would host a round 2. |
