Description:

Pick up any Fall 2010 fashion mag(s). Pull on your miner's outfit and go digging for collage material. You're going to make 1 collage postcard, to be sent naked to 1 partner, out of what you clip.

Here's the catch--actually 2 catches:

  • You're not allowed to put any fashion--no clothes, no accessories, no fashionable doodads of any kind--on your postcard.
  • You're not allowed to show any part of a model on your postcard.

It's amazing what you can find, looking at the other stuff in all those glossy photos.

A further thought: you may also get your raw material from the Fall 2010 catalogs. Some catalogs (Anthropologie, for example) have cool extraneous imagery in their photos.

Love this idea- it'd be interesting if everyone had the same mag too, to see what someone else used with the same materials.

That would be interesting, Liz. I also like the notion that everyone who signs up has an excuse to go buy one or more of those big thick decadent magazines. =laugh= But you guys oughta act fast...get them now while they're out on the stands!

OK this really looks like fun. I don't usually but fashion mags though. Maybe I'll go take a look though.
