Hi. I've been on S-B.com for 3 years and only just this week explored the forum. So many of us seem so sad and lonely. Reaching out for contact with strangers, to get a letter in the mail, something, anything, a moment.. If only we all lived in the same town together, we could have picnics and make each other cake trades :) Sad songs are beautiful. They make me feel happy. It's nice knowing others feel the way you do. It helps. Anyway, this is a misery swap. Or a finding joy in misery, or misery in joy..or Finding some goodness in sharing our sadness..hopefully feeling better somehow.. sorry, do I sound insane? For this swap you will have 1 partner. newbies allowed, afterall, even newbies get sad. no one ever gives them a chance these days. poor kids. For this swap send your partner a letter about your worries/problems (if you want to, i'm not gonna make you tell a stranger your problems, you don't have to tell them what you don't want to) send them a mix cd (non copyrighted music, of course) of sad songs, maybe a sad poem. a picture of robert smith...things that make you feel sad but good all at the same time. send at least 4 items. sad items. envelope size doesn't matter, im still not sure of the names between US and UK envelope sizes (anyone? help?). But if you are from the UK send an A5ish sized envelope If you are want, you could write your partner back shortly after getting your swap and try and help them with their problems/sadness. I think that'd make them happy, don't you think? :) |
