Description:

I recently did a coin swap and just loved it! With the users permission I decided to do one of my own.

In this swap you will have two partners. All i ask is you send each partner at least 3 coins EACH.

Please don't send coins you know they already have. Like don't send Canadian coins to Canada and US coins to the US. The more unusual the better!

If you can add what the coins are that would be great.

Any questions are welcome

I'm so excited for another one of these! :D

i would love to do this, but what if i get partnered with someone from my same country? i've never been out of the USA so i wouldn't be able to provide alternatives.

TraySeeH 02/27/2011 #

@bojangles I had the same question. I've never been outside the USA either, so that's the only coins I have.

salex 02/27/2011 #

I have a bunch of canadian coins so thats what id send in the us. lol. Hopefully we get a big variety again.

salex 02/27/2011 #

Maybe for US we can sent like the brand new coins, state quarters, wheat pennies and/or canadian coins? That make it easier?

This is why some people say "one person from each country". How about you limit the number of people by stating that you can't sent money from your own country, and you can't send coins from your partner's country, either? You'd have to have 3 different coins on hand to be able to join the swap.

salex 02/27/2011 #

I was thinking about making a second one as one from each country.

If you go to a bigger bank, they do have foreign coins. Some coin shops sell foreign coins for cheap too.

Just putting in my "2 cents".

salex 02/28/2011 #

Haha. Thank you I will keep that in mind :)

revolutionaries 02/28/2011 #

Just putting my two cents in too: they also often have foreign coins at antique shops and most large malls/shopping centres have currency exchange booths, so you could get some at those places as well. And if you're really strapped for places to get foreign currency, Ecrater has a lot of great shops that sell a wide variety. That's where I get a lot of mine. :)

As a coin collector, I feel excited to join it again :D

ffarfan 03/ 1/2011 #

Hey swappers, glad to join! I'm currently in the US but originally from Guatemala, so I'll be sending coins from there, unless you already have those too!

salex 03/ 1/2011 #

My collection is pathetic. Haha. Most came from working at a grocery store! So as long as its not US or canada i prob dont ha'vw it. Haha

salex 03/ 1/2011 #

Scratch that. Just got 80 coins for only $8! haha

paperfairys 03/ 4/2011 #

The ONLY coins i have are ENGLISH * UK * so If there is a chance that I will be given UK swapees then please remove me from the group. If not then I am ok ... thanks :)

salex 03/ 5/2011 #

Unfortunatly i cannot control who gets partnered with who. if thetes someone else in the uk then there will be a chance.

salex 03/ 8/2011 #
