I love inchies! I wanted to create a series of inchie swaps with a really different theme for each swap. I also wanted to do swaps that would be easy to complete and easy on the postage. I will try to do one every 2 weeks. For this swap, you will make 4 inchies for one partner with a beach theme--think sand, shells, waves, shore birds, Hawaii, etc. They can be any media you like, just take an artistic approach to it---please don't just stick a sticker on it and call it done; you can use stickers (I sometimes do), but think about what you would like to get in return, and create some nice inchies for your partner. Upcoming swaps I’m thinking about: Asian, 4 Seasons, 4 Elements, metal, embroidery, one word, hand-drawn…… I'm requiring a 4.5 rating on this swap. Please explain any 3's before joining--no 1s! F.Y.I: an inchie is a miniature work of art. An inchie measures exactly one inch square. Inchies can be made out of any material including paper and fabric, and can be hand-drawn, painted, collaged, stamped, sewn or use mixed media. If you think they are too small to make creatively, you're wrong! There are many itty-bitty things on the market that are perfect for making inchies: thin ribbons, tiny brads, stick-on rhinestones, little rubber stamps, etc. They are totally addicting! P.S.---It’s a Type 3 swap because there is crafting involved…. |
