Recycled Journal

Let us Make Recycled Journals.

Recycled Swaps are always unique and beautiful. The best part is we all have that section of recyclable items in our lives. This might be scrap paper, loose embellishments, a stack of colorful and fun magazines, cardboard, even fabric and ribbon.

Let’s try to get away from taking a composition notebook and slapping on paper. Let us make good quality journals. You can alter a book you found in a yard sale, or an antique store, perhaps you own several random books you never used. The journal should be at least 5X7 in. If you feel the need and the creative spirit you may also hand bound your own journal. edited make sure your journal is at least 40 pages. We want to be able to use our journals and have them last a bit! Please by all means feel free to make your journals more pages then the requirement given.

This journal should reflect our partners in at least ONE way. If your partner’s favorite color is pink maybe you could use that as its color scheme. Or perhaps your partner loves frogs; maybe you wish to have all the pages numbered with a frog on each page. Or perhaps your use the color pink and have frogs hopping all throughout the journal. That part is up to you the sender. The only thing you the creator must do is make your journal have one part of it relating to your partners profile.

When you are finished make sure you tell your partner where you got your scheme from. Sometimes it may be unclear as one person might not agree with you.

*Remember to tell your partner what scheme you used and why. Was it their favorite color or their favorite animal or quote?
