I love writing and swapping haiku, and since they are traditionally seasonal, I thought I would start a series of haiku swaps. Since we could have people from different hemispheres joining, I am labeling them by month rather than season. So write a haiku for your partners inspired by something in your surroundings in the month of July. You can mail it on a postcard, as an ATC, written on ribbon...any way you choose. You can use the same haiku for both partners or write two. So let's get writing! EDIT: In order to allow Canadian swappers to participate, I'm going to add that for this swap, sending the poem through email, a blog post, or other electronic means IS acceptable. I'm sure Canadians are already entering swap withdrawal, and since the heart of this swap is the poem itself, we don't need a physical object mailed. I'm messaging all current participants so that folks can skip this swap if they prefer. Thanks! | |
