For this swap you will make 1 stunning Frida PENDANT for 1 partner. This swap is for a unique creation. The pendant must incorporate an image of Frida Kahlo. It can be a self-portrait, photo or if you're good at drawing and painting a hand-painted Frida would be wonderful. The pendant can be made from whatever medium you like but must be sturdy and durable. You can make it from scratch using soldered microscope slides, jewellery findings, lockets or cabochon frames or alter existing items such as dominoes, bamboo tiles, bottle caps, small metal shrines etc. Size wise the pendant should be around 2 or 3 inches long and have a bail attached so that your partner can put it on a chain straight away. You can incorporate rhinestones and glitter. The pendant can have dangles such as milagros, glass beads, and baubles to add that unique Frida essence. This swap is for a pendant only. You do not need to send a chain or thong. Please spend time and effort creating a pendant your partner will love to wear. You do not need to use expensive supplies but make it special. No plastic or wooden kiddie craft beads etc. Please check you partners profile for any dislikes and favourite colours etc. Open to all ''Viva La Frida'' members in good standing. I will check profiles thoroughly before assigning partners to make it as happy a swapping experience as possible for all participants. However, as this is a group swap I'm sure everything will be fine and no one will flake. If you are running late sending the swap for whatever reason please inform your partner and keep them updated of the situation. Any questions please feel free to ask : ) You can easily google info on Frida Kahlo to see lots of self portraits and photos of her. Also check out Frida jewellery on flickr and etsy.com for inspiration. |
