Does it have to be a pin? To repersent where I'm from in the maner it deserves a pin won't do, especially when 2 blocks away they make beautiful sculptures made from coal mined right here in the county. Then there are plenty of books. For some reason this small county has produced many talented writers (the most famous one being Homer Hickam who wrote the book that was later made into the movie "October Sky".)

I personally collect pins from places I have been or trade my hometown pin with others at conventions - that is why I started this swap - to add to my collection. You are most welcome to send any type of souvenir that represents where you live and postcard to your partner. Might want to PM your partner to see if they have any preferences as to what they would like. I have more than enough magnets, so prefer not to receive any more. Hope this info is helpful.

So it's a pin swap but we could get a different souvenir?? Just want to be sure b/c I like pins, too!

It is a PIN & POST CARD SWAP - unless your partner is OK with anything else. I would prefer a PIN to add to my collection. They are displayed on some Canada fabric hanging in my bedroom.

This swap should not be expensive - our local Museum sells the pins for $1.00 and the post cards for 25 cents. - Just a little souvenir from where you live is all that is needed.

excuse me, but what is PIN here? could you give a link to the pic of it?

Sorry I do not have a picture - still don't know how to do that.

It is a pin backed, usually metal or plastic pin or tie tack with the logo of your town/state/country or national flag. You will find them at most souvenir shops, dollar stores, Walmart, tourist travel places or offices of local politicians.

Some people call them pin-backed buttons - whatever name you use is fine.

I have to trade - Woodstock pin - Ontario Trillium pin - Canada flag pin - Ontario flag pin and lots of Canadian postcards
