I'm going to try to crochet one and if he comes out well I will join!

Please post a link to a crochet pattern. That might help me decide if I can do this or not! Thanks!

Here are some cute pics: http://www.pinkdandelion.com/index.php?cat=24

There are some really cute patterns on Etsy.

Here are some free patterns I found: http://bellasartes.blogspot.com/2007/08/simply-gnome-free-pattern.html http://www.happyyellowhouse.com/gnome.html http://cache.lionbrand.com/printablePatterns/70592AD.pdf

Thanks! I am going to check the patterns and, like LittleMy, I am going to try making one first before I join just to make sure I can. I love the concept! And I have a thing for gnomes (well, as long as they don't have yellow hats!).

The little gnome above was from a free pattern I got online some time ago. (years) It is no longer online so I just came up with that one from looking at the original gnome I made. I could write it up for you if you would like to try it out. Also, I have a gnome pattern that is common in the Waldorf Education circle if you would like to knit that up. They are quick and pretty easy. (I am a super new knitter and did one up) Pic of it is in my flickr if you want to see how that one turns out (clichegrl)

I think you should extend this swap to needle felters. Needle felted gnomes are the cutest!!

Momwithahook 01/11/2008 #

Robyn, I know I love needle felting. Didn't think of that when making this swap. Maybe, next time around.
