Psalm Chapter 27 & 28 (The Key Passage is Psalm 27:14)

The Psalmist cried out to God in Psalm 27. He declares God as his light, his salvation, his help, the lifter of his head, and his defense. He calls him Lord. He says that even his own mother and father have left him, but that God continues to be faithful. He has received protection from God. He then admonishes us to be strong and courageous and wait for the Lord. You may be in a desert place right now. You may not feel that God "has your back," but He does. He is working out his will for you even when you cannot sense it. Trust in the dark what you have seen in the light. There will come a day when you will look back and see how God was with you even in the hardest times. Wait on the Lord. He is near.
