Hi, I’m James. I’m an illustrator from Suffolk UK, a recent graduate from Cambridge School of Art.
I discovered a love of sending letters and packages because of the coronavirus lockdown, which has sadly separated me from friends and family but fortunately allowed me to have the time and reason to send illustrated mail to all of my loved ones. I love storytelling, either through role-playing games like dungeons and dragons or through writing and acting. I tell a lot of fantasy stories. My hopes with swap-bot are to find people I can tell new stories to, that I can write stories for, or a place tell my own story.

Likes and dislikes: I love herbal and fruit teas but hate black tea. I like eco friendliness, because of this I’m trying to avoid plastics and waste as best I can in the mail I send. I’m a pagan and witchcraft practitioner, so I love things that look or feel magical but I’m not massively interested in black or gothic typical witchy aesthetics. I really don't want to be preached to. I love natural earthy colours, sap greens, ochre yellows, terracotta browns. I’m a stationary addict, I have far too many notebooks waiting until the day they can be used, being an artist gives me too many excuses to buy pens pencils, and cute papers. I like cozycore and adventurecore aesthetics. I love nature for me I find it most calming and peaceful when I am outdoors. I’m transgender, I don’t like TERFS, Transmeds, or Transphobia.

I’m basically always listening to music, it helps me stay calm and focused.

I particularly love: Hozier (I have spent some wonderful days listening to sunlight on repeat) The paper kites Daughter The Oh Hellos Honeywater Mumford and sons Vance Joy I also illustrate for blaseball cares so the Seattle Garages have a special place in my heart. Even though my own team is the hades tigers.

Currently, I am working making stationery that I sell at craft fairs and on Etsy. Some of my pieces end up in my swaps.
