I'm new to swapping, but it sounds like so much fun that I had to try.
I'm a Christian mother and wife. I have a darling little girl almost 5. I have degree in Illustration, but I'm a stay-at-home mom now. I sew, crochet, paint, scrapbook, graphic design. I love all kinds of crafts and love trying new ones!
The Bible -- hope that doesn't sound too pious, but I do love the word of God!
Craft books! I could spend a fortune on these.
Business books.
I love all types of art from abstract to cartoon to realistic. I love to look at sketch books.
I've taught myself to use Photoshop, Illustrator, Gimp, Inkscape and enjoy trying to computer programs.
Favorite colors include pink and polka dots. (But love all colors!)
Other cute stuff includes: animals and bugs, especially horses, ladybugs and lightning bugs. Anything handmade or hand drawn.. TExTURE, texture, texture. Interesting bits of junk ? Large scarves. flowers, water. I'm not hard to please, surprises are great!
I'd prefer to stay away from skulls, monsters etc.
I love to make something from old stuff. I guess it's called upcyling these days, LOL! I just recently sewed a dress for my daughter using old t-shirts.
I don't watch too much tv or movies these days, which makes me feel a bit out of touch with every body else.
I've started handing out gospel tracts with my church. That has been a real freeing experience. I use to have a fear of bothering people or making people them mad. But God has taken the fear away. I watched a video the other day of Pen or Teller, the magician (I forget which one) (he's an atheist!) talking about Christians and witnessing. The funny thing is .. he thought that we should witness. He said something like, "How much do you have to hate someone to not warn them about hell, (if you believe in it) If I love someone, I should tell them about God/hell even if they think I'm stupid or dumb.

I loved reading your profile. You sound like someone I'd like to have for a neighbor. I also love to recycle or upcycle. I thought of crocheting with plastic bags and thought I'd invented it until I saw it on a craft site. ! I likethe story of Penn or Teller. He's right. Don't worry about liking the Bible. More people need to be brave enough to speak up,If they did we wouldn't be in the mess we are in! I am doing a bible study in my neighborhood called Scouting the Divine. Our 2nd meeting is tomorrow. I am glad you are my swap partner because I have lots of scrappy stuff. I will be mailing out soon, Linda
