Hi, my name is Jen! We have just moved to South Carolina from Georgia. I am an artist and was an Elementary School Art teacher for 13 years. Now, I am a stay-at-home mom. My daughters are 5 years old and 3 years old- we keep busy with art projects, zoo trips, the playground, and rock painting! My husband and I have been married 6 years!
I love swapping snail mail and ATCs- I'm so excited that I found this group online! I fell in love with snail mail when I was 10 years old- when I was matched to my first pen pal. We still keep in touch on Instagram and Facebook.
My hobbies: I love ballet, I danced for 10 years.
Chic-lit books are my favorite! Sophie Kinsella is my favorite author, along with Becky Monson and Nicholas Sparks.
I love everything coffee!
I enjoy learning about new cultures, different languages, and international travel. I have traveled to Europe 4 times, mostly as a school chaperone for field trips! I love learning about the Scandinavian culture- I lived in Lindsborg, KS for 8 years and it had a strong Swedish culture. Lindsborg means "Little Sweden!"
Knitting is relaxing for me, though the only thing I know how to make is a scarf!
Snorkeling adventures with my husband, Daniel, is always fun!
I collect ATCs, cute Christmas gnomes (and now they're out for Valentine's Day! and really every holiday now...!), and anything Claude Monet related! He is my favorite artist, and my classroom is decorated as his "garden!"
I love the color pink! I'm very girly and I think mini samples of make-up, shampoos, body sprays, etc. are so fun, especially if they are international!
I believe I am a loyal friend and mail-swapper! Excited to see the opportunities swap-bot offers! Hope to hear from you!
