Frank? Is there a way where Cheryl can go back home with a full time nurse? I just want her to be happy. I understand its a load on you, but maybe with a full time nurse... she can deal with all the negative things that are happening.
Thinking of you all.
I know what walking into a nursing home is like as I worked in one for a long time. The residents (not all) are medicated or at the stage in their life where they may not be "in their right mind". Many of them don't know what they are saying and some do and just can't help it...they don't mean anything by their actions or words. Cheryl, being highly medicated is somewhat the same in regards to what she may say or not say, what she may do or not do. She means nothing at all by either/or and I know this has got to be so very difficult for you and the boys as you have known her to be so full of life and so darn funny. This stage in her life is difficult for her too as she loves you and your boys so much and she doesn't want to leave. I'm encouraging you to speak to a hospice nurse and sit with her/him to talk about this stage and changes that may take place so that you understand and your boys understand too. You know where do get me (yahoo). ♥
Frank...you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't say I know what you're going through, because I have never been in the position that you're in. But I want to send my love, thoughts and prayers your way. Bea
