March 2 2016 (New Zealand time) I've one swap that has now been posted twice to a partner in Brazil - neither has ever turned up. I'm not sure what has happened, but please be assured that I do post every single swap. I always put my return address on the envelope too. I don't really know what to do where a re-posted swap still does not show up...?? ** turned up about 2.5 months after it was posted !!!!!***
please take note that New Zealand is at the bottom of the world and things do take longer to get "up" there. :)
Mail is also not cleared between Friday 6pm and Monday 2pm. And we now also only get mail deliveries 3 days a week, so this slows things down too.**
love letter writing and have penfriends from all over the world - have written for decades to quite a few of them.
I knit every single day - socks, jerseys, dishcloths, scarves, gloves, hats.
Things I love to swap -
postcards (only touristy ones, not handmade)
stationery - letter sets - card sets - pens/pencils -washi tape - sticky notes - paper clips - highlighter pens - cute/retro stuff!
(note - not keen on anything black/with pineapples/moustaches/animals/cats)
Wool (sock especially but love wool from other regions/states/countries!) and Sugar-n-cream cotton
sewing stuff
scrapbooking items (no animal/children themes)
DMC threads
tea - I only drink black tea like English breakfast/Earl Grey etc - quite happy with supermarket tea as well like Tescos/Dilmah etc.
I do not drink fruit based teas/herbal teas at all. I also do not like coffee.
Anything souvenir based like magnets/key rings/stationery
LOVE teatowels - especially retro/country/state/souvenir ones
Love exchanging dishcloths too
soap - whether handmade or eco friendly ones. (please nothing with SLS/parabens and preferably made in your own country)
I do like theme based swaps (ie seasons, kitchen, stationery, craft, making things)
Quite addicted to knitting dishcloths.
I sew a little (usually pj pants/ a little bit of quilting/zipper cases)
Love magazines and books - I have the best job ever as a school librarian.
Favourite colours - yellow, orange, blue, green. Not a fan of anything black!
I don't like chocolate/lollies (ever since I had my tonsils out a few years back), but can usually pass things onto kids!)
I like learning about different countries/ collecting little souvenir things from different countries.
Please do NOT send - ATCs postage stamps NON-touristy postcards nail stuff/hair accessories Stickers of any description glittery things Please no religious or racist items. No cartoon or Disney stuff skulls/occult/tattoo stuff coffee Fruit/herbal teas
Have done a few successful swaps via my blog. Have travelled a fair bit and lived in 3 countries.
